Combination boilers are commended for small houses
If you have a storage space issue in your house you should consider fitting a combi gas boiler. A combination boiler and balanced flue contain all the component parts you need to fit a full central heating system. All that is additionally needed to heat your rooms is some copper pipes and some radiators. You could be stunned by this and ask whether we had left out some parts. The hot water storage cylinder, the feed and enlargement tank commonly put in the attic, the central heating pump and other component parts that central heating and hot water systems seem to require.
If you have a contemporary combi gas boiler it will not require any of these additional component parts. You do not need to buy a hot water storage cylinder, you do not want a feed and expansion tank up in the loft, the combi heating boiler holds the other parts inside its casing. So you can see with a combination gas boiler you can save a considerable amount of room within your home.
Do not think that all this is new as combination boilers have been fitted for a while now. Whilst they were first fitted in the Continent they are now a very popular boiler for fitting in the United Kingdom. It is has two major divergences with the system and normal type of gas boilers. A fully sealed system contains the circulating hot water for the central heating. Having no open vents there is no requirement for a feed and expansion cylinder in the loft. The gas boiler itself contains a large capacity enlargement tank but again this is part of the sealed unit.
As hot water is called for it is produced right away by the gas boiler, switching on a hot water tap will alert the boiler to this need. The heating boiler can quickly heat cold water by using an integral heat exchanger. Hot water circulating in the heating system is diverted to the heat exchanger. This mechanism rapidly heats cold mains water before it is flowing out on the hot water valve.
Hot water output is prioritised ahead of the passage of hot water to the radiators. Once the valve is closed and the need for hot water is removed the system will return to supplying hot water to the radiators.
It is possible to put in a new gas boiler in a small-scale apartment and not require a large amount of room.
